2025 Communicator of the Year
Mount St. Joseph University creative director Greg Goldschmidt Jr. was honored as the Salesian Guild’s 2025 Communicator of the Year Award at the Salesian Guild’s 80th anniversary gathering Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Sisters of Charity Motherhouse. The award honors a local Catholic communicator who demonstrates commitment to integrity, professionalism, fellowship and idealism.
Nominators shared examples of these values in Goldschmidt’s work. Honored with the University’s St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Mission Award recently, he “is broadly recognized as a high-integrity, high-impact collaborative leader.” Goldschmidt’s efforts helped the Mount win the Marketing Team of the Year Award in 2021 from the American Marketing Association Higher Education. One member of the Mount community commented, “Greg is a team player par excellence and is willing to take on extra responsibilities, especially with any project that involves communicating our Catholic identity and mission.” Another added, “Greg manages to suggest the presence of hope and the presence of God in a full range of Mount marketing materials…, there is always a subtle reminder of the divine in all of Greg’s work.”
Goldschmidt says he is proud to be a member of a department “that strives for marketing excellence with a service DNA, one in which each team member is driven to learn, grow and teach.”
Members of St. Ann Catholic Church in Hamilton, Ohio, Goldschmidt and his wife Angela are parents of six children: Kaitlyn, Ava, Cecilia, Lucia, Walter and Virginia.
